About Us

Our mission

  

To improve perinatal, maternal and child health throughout New York State, and to support the work of individual perinatal networks.

Our Vision

Every pregnancy is healthy and wanted, and all women and families receive the support and services they need in a respectful environment.

Our history

  

  • 1997 APN was established
  • 1999 1st NYS Perinatal Invitational Summit
  • 2000 Charting a Course for Perinatal Health published
  • 2002 Statewide professional Train the Trainer on Perinatal mood disorders
  • 2003 - 2005 Statewide Folic Acid Awareness campaign 
  • 2008 20 Year Report on Perinatal Networks
  • 2010 - 2014 Healthy Babies Are Worth the Wait
  • 2017 - current Annual Perinatal Summits
